Managed Service Provider

A managed service provider (MSP) is a company which is contracted to manage a customer's IT infrastructure and/or systems. MSP contracts are usually on a subscription or contracted basis for proactive support, in contrast with an on-demand model, where customers are billed only for work completed at the end of the term. MSPs may also be known as cloud service providers when the support entities are located remotely.
