Decentralize Biometrics and Private Keys
Unlike legacy authentication that relies on centralized passwords, HYPR decentralizes users’ credentials to secure true password-less experiences. HYPR does not store biometric templates in a centralized database. Instead, we leverage a fully decentralized architecture by combining FIDO Certified Authentication with Trusted Execution.
Secure biometric authentication requires that user credentials are decentralized and stored offline. A cryptographic digital key is generated from a biometric such as a fingerprint or voice and is used to sign transactions initiated by a relying party. Raw biometric data is never sent over the wire or stored in a centralized database. Examples of biometric encryption include the use of Apple Touch ID, Windows Hello, or SamsungPass with a FIDO-Certified architecture.
