Getting Started with Web Login & Single Sign-On

True Passwordless MFA for Web and Single Sign-On (SSO)

HYPR provides a True Passwordless MFA solution that protects applications and services. Unlike other MFA solutions which rely on outdated and insecure passwords-based security, HYPR uses public key encryption to render credential and phishing attacks obsolete. With HYPR, your web accounts and data are better protected from bad actors.

Organizations will have different protocols on how to set up HYPR for your applications and SSO portal. For further set up instructions see our guide on Using Device Manager.

How to Log into Your SSO Portal with HYPR

Your login may vary depending on your organization’s SSO provider and security. However, True Passwordless MFA ultimately provides a general flow for logging in. To log in to your SSO portal follow these steps.

Logging In with your Smartphone

1. Go to your SSO portal using your browser

2. Type in your username

3. Click Next

4. Click Smartphone

5. Tap on the PUSH notification or open your HYPR mobile app

6. Tap OK in the HYPR app

7. Your smartphone will request authentication using Face, Touch, or PIN

8. Upon success, you’ll log into your SSO portal

Logging In with your Security Key

1. Go to your SSO portal using your browser

2. Type in your username

3. Click Next

4. Click Smartdevice

5. If a prompt with options appears, click the security key option. Prompts will vary depending on your browser type.

6. Insert your security key

7. Tap your security key

8. Enter the PIN for your security key

9. You may need to tap your key again to finish logging in

10. Upon success, you’ll log into your SSO portal

Logging In with the Built-in Authenticator on Your Computer

The following steps are for using Windows Hello or Touch ID with your Windows computer or Mac computer, respectively.

1. Go to your SSO portal using your browser

2. Type in your username

3. Click Next

4. Click Smartdevice

5. If a prompt with options appears, click the built-in sensor option. Prompts will vary depending on your browser type.

6. Scan your face or fingerprint with your computer. You will only have the option for Touch ID if you’re using a Mac computer.

7. Upon success, you’ll log into your SSO portal
